Conrad Maldives F&B Brands

Transformation

Elevating F&B brands for the Conrad Hilton group

Brother and Co was approached by the Conrad Hilton team in Singapore to assist with refreshing the brand positioning and identities of all onsite F&B products on the much-revered Conrad Maldives Rangali Island.

Brother has deep experience in working across regions and with multiple stakeholders and we jumped at the opportunity – first presenting our credentials to the brand team and subsequently the owners group at Blackstone.

Once greenlit, we kicked off the project by proposing a process that allowed us to understand the desires of the brand team in Singapore as well as the local team based in the Maldives.

Through a series of nimble listening sessions and subsequent workshops, we were able to quickly understand the issues, vision and ultimately opportunities for each of the F&B products – from the GM and chef on site to the brand and global F&B team.

By investing in desk research that captures global examples of restaurant branding, food and guest experience design and styling, we helped the teams see what’s possible.

And by conducting mini peer and competitor reviews of similar F&B product types on neighbouring islands and resorts we could identify spaces to avoid, discover new ones or find ways to reclaim lost ground for some of the more established restaurants.

For each F&B brand, we workshopped and developed

  • Key food product and guest experience summary
  • A clear, compelling and easy-to-translate positioning
  • A brand identity kit that captured key codes and elements
  • Examples of food styling and photography
  • An array of application examples
  • Simple style and application guides

These kits allowed the team on the ground to effectively administer the brands and efficiently roll them out thousands of kilometres away.

To date, Brother has developed 5 of the 11 F&B brand refreshes.
